Simple Aviation Solutions offers a comprehensive TRI (Type Rating Instructor) Training Course tailored exclusively for FFS (Full Flight Simulator) instruction. Designed in compliance with PART-FCL regulations, this program equips experienced pilots with the skills and certifications necessary to deliver effective type rating instruction to aspiring aviators.

Program Overview

Our TRI course provides a structured pathway to certification, combining theoretical knowledge, practical training, and hands-on simulator instruction. Whether you’re looking to advance your career or support your airline’s training needs, this program ensures mastery of instructional techniques.

Course Highlights:

  • Teaching and Learning: 25 hours of focused training on instructional methodologies, emphasizing the unique challenges of simulator-based teaching.
  • Technical Training: 10 hours dedicated to type-specific knowledge, covering systems, operations, and procedures for the applicable aircraft.
  • Extended Simulator Training: In addition to 3 simulator sessions (totaling 10 hours), trainees will gain additional hours as observers during simulator sessions, enhancing their understanding of instructional delivery and technical scenarios as per AMC1 FCL.930.TRI.
  • Final AOC Assessment of Competence: The program culminates in a 2 hours Assessment of Competence (AOC), certifying your ability to deliver professional type rating instruction.

TRI Certification Prerequisites

To qualify for the TRI Training Course under PART-FCL, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • License Requirements: Hold a CPL, MPL, or ATPL pilot license in the applicable aircraft category.
  • Experience Requirements:
    • For a TRI(MPA) certificate (multi-pilot aeroplanes):
      • 1,500 hours flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplanes.
      • Completed 30 route sectors (including take-offs and landings) as PIC or co-pilot on the applicable aircraft type within the 12 months preceding the application, of which up to 15 sectors may be completed in an FFS representing the type.

These prerequisites ensure that candidates bring substantial operational experience to the program, providing a solid foundation for developing instructional expertise.
